I'm a class IV+ boater with a little bit of class V experience. I'm living in the kitsap area doing an internship for the summer. I pretty much took the job because I really wanted to run the rivers of the PNW. I already got my first taste on the sky last weekend.
I should be buying a pyranha burn tomorrow and then I'm free to paddle friday through sunday. Is there any experienced group of paddlers going out this weekend that might let me tag along with them? Here is a video of some of my better lines from the last year to get a feel for my skill level: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-zcRoTcL7o
I'd appreciate a lot if someone could help show me around. Thanks!
Nice little edit. That line at 1:16 was awesome. The wenatchee river festival is going. I can almost guarantee there may be a few paddlers there, with some other options for running stuff dependent on flow
Ya Man, I would definitely recommend heading out to the Wenatchee River Fest this weekend. Good event to start building your network. Lower Icicle will probably be in at a good flow and the play run is always fun.
I just moved here as well, have been in the Seattle area for about 3 days. I would love to join tomorrow for a run on the Sky! Is it cool if I meet you guys at noon tomorrow? Let me know!
