If anyone desides to explore the new toutle anytime soon. My buddy lost a carbon werner powerhouse today. After what is traditionally stair steps.
Much thanks and tasty beer if found.

That was your new one?! That sucks! Did you decorate it with any bright duct tape?

I actually had a brand new AT paddle that didnt suit me. As well as a werner powerhouse I got for a good deal to make up for buying the AT... Let my paddle buddy use the werner so I could baby the AT and still sell it && the werner got lost... Gonna search for it sunday r2 style and hope for the best.
Also my first werner still might be recoverable on the steep micro creek I swam on so theres hope for that

Its the "new" toutle cause every single rapid and nuance that existed before has changed since the last high water event when it hit 64k cfs.
And yeah the carbon powerhouse my friend lost was a replacement for the shogun that I lost creeking three weeks ago.

The last time I was on it was @ 4500.
My buddy lost my paddle @ like 3400 the other day.
Where ya located? Toutle has been the main river ive learned on since starting aug.2014
Ive run it down to 375 and up to 46k.
Lots of changes. Bigger holes all over the place....
Being over 10k for like two weeks seems it washed a lot of sediment and smaller rocks downstream so the lower flow feels higher. The braided sections have lots of cool new features.
Again lots of bigger holed cause every boulder up to the house sized ones moved. New side routes. Even Hollywood is substantially different.

Negative. Ive mostly paddled solo since starting.
Hard to link up with folks from up north they seem to be more adverse about new comers than the PDX/gorge area people.
