Hey everybody,
I'm all for going to the NW Creeking Comp. if flows are good, but if things stay the same, anyone want to do an Ohanapecosh weekend? Also, anyone know what the snow situation is there? JD?

No snow, but Cayuse might still be closed.

Cayuse opened last Friday (4/3). I drove over it this weekend, and there is very little snow up there! Depending on weather, Ohanapecosh may be done by end of May.

Took a look a the level on Friday, and would put it towards the bottom end of low, gauge was 1,280. Looked like you might still bump over the log in the first little drop below the put-in. Believe a group from BC did the run in the past week, and there was a pic showing a log blocking the left slot in Elbow Room.

La Wis Wis won't be open till May, but you can float the extra couple miles and take out at the next forest road.

If she comes up I'll likely be there this weekend, at least for Sunday.

I would be keen to give it a go Saturday or Sunday. I don't know the river......and I haven't paddle any super hard creeks. I think I'm good for it....more so with someone that knows the river.

Yep, there's wood in Elbow Room Chip.

At low(ish) water a brave soul could duck it, but it would make the landing funky.

More water on the wind blows this way. I must wait for it. Then ride it.

Expect Friday is gonna be way too low.....like the bad side of low. I'm with Chris, wait for the flow, and get it then. Sat/Sun should be good.

If any of you got a report on levels today from the river let a brother know. I'm not shelling out for gas today as it's already dropping and never broke a thousand. What a tease. Here's to hoping for more flow tomorrow.

Level was around 850 today, snowing in the area pretty hard on the way out, perhaps some warm weather or rain will melt it down into the river but I wouldn't hold my breath. The river was excellent though, a little manky in some places but super scenic, definitely the most stellar river I've been on yet in terms of scenery & atmosphere.
