I want to stand up paddle the entire Yakima river from snoqualmie pass to the columbia river. I have done all of it except snoqualmie pass to lake Easton. Does anyone have any info on it.

I have Hiked along the river and don't see any thing wrong but has anyone floated it before ???

Thanks Adam

Wow - that seems like a really cool trip from Easton to Columbia even. How long did it take you?

Its probably not the season for me with a new kiddo, but I have been looking to take the SUP out for longer river paddles and maybe even an overnighter.

It would be fun to SUP some of the Snoqualmie Pass to Cle Elum portions some day. Wish I could offer beta. Have fun!

Another river that looked cool to SUP on a multi-day is some of the lower part of the Hoh on the Olympic Peninsula.

Were you able to hit this stretch? If so, how did it go?

I dont have anything useful to add, but I did have some questions. I have been considering floating the whole thing as well (in a canoe) and was wondering if you had any tips, especially on the dam portages. I have ran nearly the whole river from Yakima to the Columbia, and of course lots of folks float the Ellensburg canyon, but I dont know too much about the river above there. Did you do it all as day trips, or did you overnight any of it?

I have a friend in the natural recourses industry and was able to look at some detailed maps no official obstructions from snoqualmie pass to lake Easton.

The portages would be hard by yourself in a canoe I think some involve a little bush wacking.

If you are interested I would car pool a section with you
