I ran across this
http://www.olyblog.net/top-secret-county-waterfall-revealed-words-and-pictures
and i have seen the falls before. But how bad is the gorge down stream?
it seems like it might be clean. has anyone run it?
I'm going to scout it over the next couple of weeks to get an idea of flows.

i went up to thoes falls like 15 years ago to take a look .... had to sneak in down stream and bushwack up to the falls ... it was very high water when we went so we did not get a good sence of if the falls are runnable... its been a while but i do remeber at least 2 big falls, one of wich is like 25 feet ... they rest of the river looked runable, but it was high when i saw it ... we wrote it off as to much effort for 2 dops and went back to the old olympia stand by (the Tilton)... but i have never heard of it being run, could be a first D off the falls if one of them is runnable

I heard some kids died in there and now they pay a guy to keep watch. The must run run-out rapid is one giant sieve, the part you can 'hike' down to.

Hmm darn. Might take a look at the falls. But sounds like a lot of work.

When are you thinking about checking it out?  I'll be in the Oly area this weekend and could be talked into a scouting mission.
