That is a well written article that captures what I knew about him. I was living in Driggs skiing Targhee when he did that big jump. He made a stir around there.
Not sure where you got that he wasnt wearing a beacon. Dude is a pro-skier and skied harder than anyone out there. He was only partially buried in the first place and died due to injuries sustained. That means you could see him when the slide stopped = you wouldn't turn your beacon on to find him because you can see him. Critiques aren't necessary, just condolences. He knew what he was doing.
