After the sign went up at the intersection of Hwy 2 and Mt Index Rd I noticed that the NW Forrest Pass signs were at every parking lot but the Cable Drop one. This made me wonder about whether or not a pass was required there.
So today I called and spoke with Debbie at the Skykomish District Office and she told me that the Cable Drop put in does not require a pass, and is not even Forrest Service property.

the new wood chips that are on the trail now are perfect. put the money into fighting the meth punks! my vote :) maybe we should talk to them about putting a camera in like the Alpaca place at the Robe put in. that place is thick with the meth and he was telling us there are lots of 'peaks' that happen there. i bet it's similar at cable..
