    Posted: 16 Apr 2011 at 6:49am

I'm looking to do a blog post that gives a general overview of the lines on Boulder Drop and am wondering if anyone would be willing to share any photos (or video) you might have that give a clear view of the drops, especially in the low to 6K or 7K range?  I know there are a few explanations out there but I just talked to someone who was running it for the first time and he said it's really hard to find a good overall explanation with images, which is true - and I've been kind of wanting to do something like this for a while now.  If you can share a photo just PM me or share it on this thread, whichever is easier, and I'll credit you in the post, which would be on http://www.ireneskayakingblog.com.  Thanks, and SYOTR!

What a great idea- and alsogreat to see that for the whole Sky run, not just BD, calling out some interesting details, etc. I've done that kind of thing with Google Earth images but more coudl be done by people who know the river well.

Thanks Mike, do you know if that's available in larger format?  The Google Maps satellite image I found of Boulder looks like it's at pretty high water and not too helpful, it looks like the one you posted might be at lower water, which would be good.

Irene, you're thinking something like this? I think it's using the same picture that Mike posted:

http://www.riverexpeditions.com/boulder2.htm

The descriptions are mostly geared toward rafts, but it did help me over my out-of-proportion BD anxiety when I first started running it.

Thanks Jule, that is a great photo, even though it's on the high side you can see pretty much every feature and it's great that it's an aerial shot.
