Wow this will be one crowded weekend, by west coast standards at least. Is anyone by chance running the peshastin on Friday on the way over?

Hmm. I plan to be around. Its a possibility I'd be down so long as its medium full and all the small rocks are covered. What time would you be at the put in?

Ok, lets do the creek race on Sunday. What time should we hold the Rodeo and Creek Race?

Pyranha and Aquasports are donating a NEW kayak to the Ball this year! Werner is donating a new paddle, and we have other awesome prizes to win in the raffel this year. Check out the facebook page to see pics of all the prizes. http://www.facebook.com/PPBall2012

More off topic - WTF is up with this weather.

I know some folks will have no trouble at all motivating for the race on Sunday morning, but some others will be in a coma. So hopefully not too early on Sunday morning- 10 am?

I'm down with that, 10-11ish for creek race, rodeo to follow.
Darren - your not gonna be there to defend the raft title? Fallon and I and the Zimmermans were looking to give y'all a run for it this year.

Does anybody have a set of folding sawhorses that doesn't mind bringing out to site? If so, that would hook up a second pong table. I am bringing 2 4x6 non-reg pingpong boards for some side entertainment. I have a set of collapsable saw horses that work for one, but am looking for a second set for the 'other' board. Also, if you got your own pong paddle bring it. I will have four paddles and plenty balls(ha ha). If weather allows and time permits, we will try and hold a little showdown. Single game elimination. $1 entry winner takes all.

Well I suppose some PPeeps may have strained some shoulders or smacked some backs landing on flat yaks, judging by some of the landings, but they may have successfully shined it off like it was nothin.

As far as the weather goes let me answer your question.
This is The Pacific Northwest. Where Mother nature comes to do whatever the fu*k she wants with the weather. Especially this time of year, Every year. Perhaps some of the most dynamic months for erratic weather all year are right about now. And every year people act surprised.

Oh- I was gonna say that yes, my participation in any event is entirely hang over contingent. Still, Sunday sounds goid for Ici, even if it means Darren will be there (joking- I don't get to see enough of you lately dude, and it wouldn' t be the same with out ya)
And, Mr. Harms:
I have two cheap home depot style saw horses. They are black plastic w/ the yellow strip across the top. If that sounds suitable and you really must have them, I would be happy to bring them just for you. But you need to let me know by 2pm thurs if they are to make it into the van.

What? No way - it's twice as much weight.

Ya, but you have two motors. At least in sea kayaking they are much faster.

What if you have to paddle the duo backwards the entire way.

Faster or slower depends on who is in the boat.
Riverfanatik, if you bring the proper party favors I'll load your our camp chairs up in my Saltyak and paddle it down with the rest of the space in the hatches filled w/ beer.
