Topic: SUP'er seeking creeking spots Posted: 24 Oct 2010 at 11:08pm |
howdy!
fletcher burton, the guy known to stand on his wave ski is now paddling sups for Tomahawk boards in Cali.
He's seeking a nw trip to do some creeking or similar on a sup in November. Know of any creeking or other intesting river activities that would be good in november in western WA?
Here's more info on Fletch..

thanks!

Nov is a great month for NW creekin'. Lots of rain, typically, but it's kinda all over the place and hard to predict, even a couple days out. It is a good month to be here with a high probability of being able to get on a class IVish creek like Pilchuck Creek or Clear Creek, or NF Nooksack??? Ben might know of some other "SUP" creeks 'round these parts...

Pretty hard to recommend anything when the only information you give us is that he is a surfer and has SUP'd the South Silver (basically FITW but steeper, harder and slightly more pool drop). Maybe Waterwacko could take him down the EF Lewis? If you're looking for medium to high water creeks in the 3-5 range, the month of November in the PNW is where you want to be. I'm sure lots of people have great recommendations on whats out there to paddle. Clean, low volume slides with good lighting? Not a lot of that around here.

thanks for the tips. he does do ww and isn't just a surfer hence our willingless to help him find what he's looking for. and he does stay connected to the board during drops. he did that drop several times that day. google up dan gavere and corran addison to get views of sup'ers running drops without footstraps on both epoxy and inflatable sups. thanks..
