I am just wondering if James has kayaked at all this year? I sure do miss him....I thought this poll may make him think about what he is missing....

Yea James, please come back and paddle.  Dave has hooked up with the group I paddle with frequently and we're sick of him already.

Dave, you can always paddle with me. I was just noticing how many phone numbers I have in my phone of people who used to boat.

One of the realities of this sport is that people come and go each year. Why complain about it?

I think we should be able to vote for more than one option.

Ya, I guess I just get a little frustrated sometimes. You get to paddle with such fun people and they are great to be around, then they stop Kayaking and it is hard to replace them. Sure, I can boat with anyone and have done so over the past 21 years of Kayaking, but it is always hard when people you really like to be with cut back or stop.

I will not stop, I just like being out there, even on the powerhouse (which I do a lot and it was awsome today!) Kayaking is my main source of exercise and I hope it will be for as long as I can throw the paddle around. I am 44 years old and hope to get another 70-80 years of life out of this body and Kayaking is one of the keys to this plan.

So, I guess this poll is to get one of my funnest paddling partners all worked up and get him thinking about kaykaking again so we can have some more good times out there!

If James bails on us I nominate Lief to take over PP and run it with an iron fist!

I am not bailing ... I have been out this year but clearly not enough. I also have been dirt jumping and freeriding a bit more than years past. Part is my schedule with work and obligations I have committed myself too and part is duties as a husband that I am paying more attention too. Don't dismay you will see me on the rio this year in plentae. And Davie I am going to give you a mighty fine TittEtwistE for this poll...

It says I can't vote in this poll. I AM DISENFRANCHISED!!!!! Just like in the real world. That's ok- this poll is lame anyway.

Just like this pretend "democracy" we supposedly have here in the U.S., There isn't a choice on the ballet I'd want to vote for anyway.

My write-in choice:
He will get back in the boat next time he feels like it, after all of his responsibilities and obligations are satisfied, because that's the kind of stand-up-man he is, unlike the people who continue to ceaslessly ridicule him, who can hardly be called "men" at all.

Sorry. I am so relentlessly over the top. But so is the poll.

On a more serious note, Dave, maybe you should seriously stop long enough to consider that harrasing James just may not be the best tactic if you really want him to boat with you.

seen a lot of people come and go in the sport, sure, but also seen a lot of people who change how or what they enjoy about boating.  ain't nothin wrong with that.  sometimes it takes putting away awhile, and that's okay too.  If you love the water you'll be back.  its only when boating is not the passion in the first place, but rather the avenue of seeking something else that the boater, once boating is dropped, is unlikely to pick it up again.

I predict James will boat again.  I also suspect it may require a high water Idaho wilderness run to rekindle the fire.  perhaps following glowsticks down moose juice at 6.5' will serve notice that he hasn't had enough time to do all the boating he should.  lol

Ok, you want the real deal, here it is.

When James wants to do something he is all over me to drop whatever i have going on to go do something with him. If I don't drop everything he harasses me to no end, so I usually cave in and go be with him. But, when the roles are reversed, I am all of the sudden I am the bad guy. WTF? this is bullsh*t. If you are going to give it out, you better well be ready to take it when the time comes!!!!! Then JP jumps on the bandwagon to defend James? You are no saint either JP...

I sound like a his little bitch...I am not a bioutch....

I am out of here....later....

This is getting really stupid. Just let it die. I don't ever harass you when you won't go with me places. You just can't take what you dish out. It's that simple. I love you dave but this one back fired on ya, so take it like a man and just let it go. I am going to get off work in an hour or two and I would love to hit the Tape worm with you. I won't harass you for not dippin the jumps that I enjoy and I won't make fun of you for falling off the teeter totter. We can just have a good time. And afterwards I will make you a snack... some baloney and perhaps whine for the cracker!
