Where we will be is going to be level dependant, with the amount of rain coming this weeknd CC could be to high on Sunday, so it might be best to catch it Saturday? Who knows?
Lets plan on meeting at Sunset Falls at 9:30. That will give me a chance ot drive upto the CC put in and look at the pillar, and it's not to early. With it getting dark at 4:30, we will need to get on the river by 10:30 to get 2 laps in.

No way we'll be there by 9:30, so I guess we'll just hope we can catch shuttle or meet for the second lap.
CC is my top target, but not if it's high ... just have to see what levels do I suppose.
We'll be leaving southcenter 7:30 or so Sat, figure that puts us into EF Lewis TO around 11:30.

One thing I'd like to do if there's enough water is to do the run from the green fork to sunset on the east fork and combine it with the waterfall run.

Yeah that would be sweet... it would make it a 9 mile class 4 run if we combine the two. Water shouldn't be a problem this weekend!

If it's too much then copper is always an option, or maybe hagen!

He'll most likely be joining us on Sunday. It sounds like he'll have enough help moving saturday to be able to take a day and go boat. Hopefully he'll be done early enough to join us in the festivities saturday night.

Your wish is my command Tobin. Signing the papers for the house in 2 hours. Get the keys tomorrow afternoon. Move all of "our" stuff in Friday night/Saturday. Hopefully drive out Saturday night. Boat Sunday.
Call me and let me know where you will be on Saturday night/what run is going on for Sunday. I'm going to make it if I can.
There's a good group coming up from the 3cities too. Think CB, Jrad, BrianM, Jim. You guys will have a lot of fun. Wish I could be there for the whole adventure!
I haven't heard any new stuff about any wood on CC. Heard something about wood on EF Lewis, but I'm sure that Oly would know....and since you're crashing with them I'm sure he'll be able to tell you.
Cheers and beers,
Lanson

Hey
I'm wondering if anyone else is headed to the EF just for Sat. I am and would like to see if I can arrange a carpool, anyone?

Beta from PDX:
Re: E.F. Lewis Wood
There appears to be some confusion about whether the wood below
Dragon's back on the EF Lewis is new. This wood was NOT present, or
at least did not represent any hazard whatsoever that I can remember,
as of February 24th, 2007. It is possible that it was present last
winter and has now shifted. In any event:
The new wood that we and another group encountered this weekend is a
smaller log that spans the gap on river left that one generally
paddles through to get past the big logs that have been in the gorge
at the same spot for many years now.
The new log was NOT present on February 24th 2007, the last time I was
on this run. At this weekend's level (~1300) it was possible to limbo
under this new log, but it took some maneuvering and setting up time.
Therefore, you need to leave a lot of time between boaters going
through this spot.
One cannot see this new log from the eddy above Dragon's back, so it
is quite a surprise. The difficulty of getting past this new wood
will be greater the higher the water level. It's a potentially
dangerous spot right now, particularly if boats pile up or when the
levels are 1400 and above. Also, the new log's position is such that
there is a very high probability that any wood floating downstream
will get stuck here, worsening the hazard.
